Denture Relines, Rebases, And Soft Liners
These procedures can be done in a single day!!!
Just like the rest of your body, tissues and bone structure in the mouth change over time. Throughout your denture wearing years the bone structure under the tissue will shrink. Because of this, dentures need to be properly refitted every 2 to 3 years so that they protect the remaining tissue structures and stay snug and comfortable in the mouth while eating and speaking. With that said, all people are different and the exact amount of time before a reline or rebase is necessary may vary with the individual.
An annual examination by the Denturist will ensure that your dentures are fitting correctly. At Okanagan Denture in Kelowna denture relines can be completed that very same day
• Soft liners: Are flexible silicone liners that act as a cushion, and are typically found in lower dentures. They can be placed initially when first fabricating new dentures or afterwards during a reline. Again with yearly examination you and the denturist can decide if this is the right treatment option for you.
